We have been photographing these two for quite a while now and every time has just been so much fun. As we all know, the weather here in Buffalo has been less than stellar so an outdoors shoot was out of the question. It was really nice to change things up and do some high key portraits in the studio.

There is a funny story with that last image. Kailey came out dressed like a little rock star and I said something like “When did Hannah Montana get here?” She just ate that up and got all excited so she was all smiles for the rest of the session. With that, I decided to take a little bit of extra time and make a poster for her. Think she’ll like it?

Why I Love Buffalo

So I was watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition today and had quite the revelation.

If you didn’t know, today’s episode featured a local family. Watching it really made me realize how amazing Buffalo is. You may often hear me complain about our long winters, or our horrible football team but I really do love it here and it’s the things like this (and the Buffalo Wings) that make me grateful to be a “Buffalonian”. It’s where Becky and I were born and raised and I am really happy to say that. Today’s episode of Extreme Makeover really hit me. I wasn’t surprised to hear this that this episode in Buffalo had a RECORD SETTING amount of volunteers and support. More than 6,300 people spent 53,544 hours fixing homes, landscaping properties, planting trees, building community gardens and all that good stuff. Our community impressed the show’s producers so much that they made it a special 2 hour episode. Leave it to Buffalo to go above and beyond the call of duty.

Buffalo is far from perfect, but our community is what makes it the best place to be. We come together when duty calls and it makes us all stronger.

So yeah, this post has absolutely nothing to do with photography so please forgive me for my ramblings. “Stay Classy Buffalo”

2009 Best in Show

A Little Miracle Turns One! // BUFFALO NY BABY PHOTOGRAPHERS

We started photographing this little miracle last year and each photo shoot has been a real treat. It is amazing to see how fast children grow and how much they learn throughout that time. So to celebrate, we had him do one of our special “cake smash sessions.” I think the name and picture pretty much sums up what it is all about:

BridesWorld 2010 Wrap Up // Buffalo NY Bridal Show

Man, what a busy, but rewarding, day we had on Sunday down at the Convention Center. I couldn’t believe how packed our BridesWorld booth was and how many brides attended! It was real great to meet each and every one of you and I look forward to following up with you all in the coming weeks. I really appreciate all the warm comments and enthusiasm you all showed. It really helped us to realize why we do this. Thank you all so much for making our first ever bridal show go so well.
